A few favorite series [Mar. 5th, 2006|10:56 am]
The Novelizers.

The Honor Harrington series by David Weber. Ever since I started keeping a count of the books I read for the year, I've noticed that I end up reading this series at least once every year, usually when the next book in the series comes out but not always!

Tamora Pierce I've really enjoyed every one of her books and read them as soon as they come out.

William Tapply He writes the Brady Coyne series (among others), about a Boston lawyer and fly fishing enthusiast. How many authors do you know who have other authors mention his series character in their books?

Carolyn G. Hart I love her Death on Demand series about a bookstore owner on an island off the coast of South Carolina. She lists many titles and authors throughout the books. I've started a few new series because of this!

Kristine Kathryn Rusch A local author who writes in quite a few genres under multiple names. She writes a mystery series under the name Kris Nelscott, a romance series under the name Kristine Grayson, and science fiction, fantasy, horror, thriller under the names Kristine Kathryn Rusch & Kristine Rusch.

Katherine Hall Page, Joanne Fluke, Claudia Bishop All three write culinary mysteries that include recipes!

Patricia H. Rushford A local author who writes several different series from her YA series about 16 year old Jenny McGrady's search for her missing father to The McAlister Files about an Oregon State Police detective.

There are so many other authors that I could list that I enjoy reading and buy their books as soon as they publish new ones but this is getting more than long enough and I can hear a book calling my name...

Challenge [Oct. 25th, 2004|08:17 pm]
The Novelizers.

I have a challenge for everyone. Make a list of a Great book for every letter of the alphabet (books that start with A and The do not count as A or T... for example, (The) Eye of the Storm would count as E)

GO! :)

I'll post mine once everyone else has :) Good luck

My list. Finally. (:

I'll post more if I think of them.

I know it's cool to be so bored, but it sucks me in when you're aloof.Collapse )

If anyone has ideas for contests or whatnot, feel free to ask either me or Danae about it.

[mood |busy]

Well, you guys looked lonely with only 3 members, so I thought I would join you. Unfortunatly I am really lazy at the moment, as well a busy, so I can't post a list at the moment - not to worry though - lists will be one thier way - lots and lots of them. I have best teen book lists i coudl make, best adult fiction book lists i could make, the books that I have on my to buy list, the books that I've boughten and are waiting to crack open - yes... far too many books

What. The hell.

Figured I should join this seeing as
a) I have been friends with the 'owner' for around 8 years now.
b) This idea was totally ripped off of The 3-Person Book Club (which I don't think exists anymore) , which I started all of one week ago.

I'd love to see Katie make a list.

Anyway. Here's mine.Collapse )

Anyway. If there's anyone here other than Katie, please refrain from calling me anything other than Danae.
